About Us

Why this site exists

Welcome to PureOsmosis. The water filtration market can be overwhelming. Between reverse osmosis systems, activated carbon filters, UV purifiers and countless pitcher brands, finding trustworthy information is harder than it should be. Too many websites push products without genuine testing, and technical specifications are scattered across manufacturer datasheets that few people have time to decode. We created PureOsmosis to cut through the noise and give you clear, evidence-based guidance on choosing the right water filtration solution for your home.

Who we are

We are a team passionate about water quality and environmental science. Our backgrounds span chemical engineering, environmental studies and consumer product testing. We believe that access to clean drinking water should not require a PhD to navigate. Whether you are on well water, city water with chlorine concerns, or simply want better-tasting water for your morning coffee or tea, we are here to help you make an informed decision without the marketing jargon.

Our approach

Every recommendation on PureOsmosis is grounded in a meta-analysis of technical specifications, verified user reviews and real-world price-to-performance ratios. We cross-reference TDS removal rates, filter longevity, flow rates and annual operating costs so you do not have to. We compare products within meaningful categories — under-sink RO systems, countertop filters, whole-house solutions — and present our findings in plain language with clear tables and side-by-side comparisons.

Our commitments

Transparency is at the core of what we do. We clearly disclose affiliate relationships and never let them influence our rankings. Editorial independence means no brand can pay for a higher score. We are committed to accuracy — when standards change or new lab data emerges, we update our guides. We also care about sustainability: we favour systems with longer filter life, less wastewater and lower environmental impact whenever possible.

A bit more about us

Outside of testing water filters, we are avid tea and coffee brewers who know firsthand how water quality transforms the taste of a good cup. Several of us are hikers who have relied on portable filtration in the backcountry, which sparked our interest in how water treatment works at every scale. We are also committed to reducing single-use plastic — because the best water bottle is one you fill from your own tap, with water you trust.

Thank you for reading, and here is to cleaner water for everyone.
